Principal Consultant – Cost Estimation and Control
Mr. Osman has 29 years of experience in the international oil and gas industry performing Cost Estimation, Cost Control, Feasibility Studies, Tender Preparation, Technical &Commercial evaluation of bids, Assessment & Effective Negotiation of Claims/Adjustment Orders and initiation &maintenance of in-house Cost Databases for various types of Upstream/Downstream onshore and offshore oil and gas Mega Projects in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Sudan, Qatar, UAE, KSA, Yemen, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman and Kazakhstan.
Mr. Othman experiences in the international/local markets and his understanding of price changes leads to correctly assign the right budget for projects, effectively control/forecast project costs and finally achieving Project Cost Savings for restoration projects.
Mr. Othman responsibilities in projects did include:
Preparation of different types of cost estimates for both released & proposed EPC Turnkey Lump-sum projects (During FEED, Basic and Detailed engineering phases of the Project).
Support the financial, economics and costing elements of project management throughout the different phases of the project.
Develop the controlled budget &basis and the projected cash flow within the scope of work.
Develop the work breakdown structure (WBS) in conjunction with the Senior Planning Engineer.
Set-up the cost reporting system and formats tailored to the project scope and to client needs.
