Operator Training Simulator From Fidelity To Reality Paper - May 9-10, 2018
PetroDIAC gladly presented its Technical Paper during the RDPETRO Conference which was held in Abu Dhabi during May 9-10, 2018. The technical committee selected PetroDIAC paper “Operator Training Simulators From Fidelity to Reality” as Speaker Presentation after thorough evaluation. The paper have been presented by PetroDIAC team Dr. Ad Vos and Mr. Mohammed Alenany which was well received by the session audience.
PetroDIAC, presented and advocated an integrated approach for operator training involving both the control room personnel and field operators. Presented and explained the work being done on immersive training simulators which provides multidimensional training with realistic immersive visualization and simulation. This enhances the ability of the operators to get trained in a highly realistic environment with geographically separated teams. It was further explained that such approaches in training simulators would achieve more coordinated corrective action between field and control room operator as well as providing an opportunity to conduct globally distributed classrooms.
Thanks to the Conference organization team and the leading oil and gas partners for their support during the event. PetroDIAC will definitely be part of future RDPETRO conferences and exhibitions.
RDPETRO 2018 Conference and Exhibition - May 9-10, 2018
PetroDIAC gladly been selected to participate in the RDPETRO Conference as Technical Committee member represented by Mr. Mohammed Alenany.
Held since 2012 as ADRAC (Abu Dhabi Research and Development Conference and Exhibition) it was recognized in the 2015 edition as the biggest oil and gas conference and exhibition in the World fully dedicated to Research and Development.
Now renamed RDPETRO, the event aims to take its place on the global stage. Innovators from across universities, research centers, service providers and tech start-ups from oil and gas and other industries will meet national and international oil companies from across the world. The conference was sponsored by ADNOC and many of ADNOC international partners.
Our ambition is to develop closer collaboration across the energy industry and beyond, sourcing innovative solutions and technologies to unlock, produce and optimize oil and gas resources in a value-adding and ever-safer way.
PetroDIAC participated in the technical abstracts evaluation and selection of the top ones for the Process Control and Asset Optimization sessions, Mr. Alenany co-chaired the technical session during the event together with Mr. Suresh Kumar from ADNOC Gas Processing.
